I have studied visualization at the VisGroup here in Bergen, Norway. Unfortunately, I managed not to complete the master thesis due to dyslexia and the fact that I am also bipolar. The first years were a fascinating time before I then got a down period.

My topic for the thesis was how to compare spatial objects and how abstracting them could make the comparison task simpler. The subtitle of it was Comparative Visualization by Abstracting a Spatial Ensemble Data of Plant Growth. I will try to make some posts about this topic and visualization in general. And I will end this with two citations on visualization and one on the comparison task.

The first try with WebGL

First try Programming WebGL

It has gone many years since I started working with graphic programming. And that was with OpenGL. Today I have tried WebGL for the first time. It builds on OpenGL ES 2 that again are simplified OpenGL 2, so everything was familiar. I have followed step by step a Mozilla tutorial. I mostly work like this. Doing tutorials or web courses first, then experiments.

I hope to do some experimental work soon. And it was good doing some graphics programming again, even if it just copied something. The few last years has mainly been theory.

There is not more to say than check the tutorial for details if you are interested.
